Eclipse Thirsty Thursday

Happy Thirsty Thursday!!!!

In honor of the MOST AMAZING installment YET of the Twilight Saga;
I present to you my Thirsty Thursday Recipe...

Beet roots and greens are a powerful cleaner for the blood.

This super food contains calcium, iron, sulphur, potassium, beta-carotene, choline, and vitamin C.
Beets are high in manganese, an important mineral for brain function; and they also rich in other minerals that strengthen the liver and gall bladder!

Always juice your beets with other veggies, they are very powerful, and if you juice it alone without any other veggies your body may not react so fondly.

Eclipse Beet Juice

  • 1 Beet, leafs and all
  • 4 Carrots
  • 4 Celery Stalks
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Small Anjou Pear
  • 1/4 inch knob of ginger root
  •  1/4 cup filtered water
  • few ice cubes
I'm not going to spoil it for any movie only Twi-fans. All I'm going to say are these three words...

Ah-Maze-Ing!

I was very pleased with how true to the book they stayed, without cutting too much out or doing anything too corny. Can't wait for Breaking Dawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob??

My cousin, Jackie said it best:

"I love the everlasting love aspect between Bella and Edward, but...the chemistry between Bella and Jacob is addicting." She went on to say "Jacob is WAY too young to be THAT hot....I feel so wrong!" Hahaha, oh me too....I told her we are big-time cougars...so wrong in SO many ways...but o m g.

Bella and Edward's relationship is comparable to the obsessive, love dependent relationship I have with Munchkin...

I told Michael he needs to start acting more like I am the reason for he existence; being perfectly content watching me sleep/ stare into my eyes/ be ready to go to battle for my safety against enemies thirsting for my blood, you know, the usual. Opposed to having his video game remote in his hands and the laptop on his desk with a baseball game all at the same time, haha. He tells me to try out for the next movie, maybe they will cast me and I can play out that "fantasy" haha...that's what it is, really. Munchkin gets it though. He waits for teh second I wake up to come over, purring like a little motor, rubbing his head on mine, nuzzling under my chin making me not want to get out of bed. True love. ;-)

My legs were SUPER sore from my leg workout the other day. It's been a while since I've had a tough time sitting down in a chair....I loooooooove it! Must of been the burpee/ lunge lift combo...or the plyo jump squats? Either way, I am super stiff...active recovery via some yoga flow is a MUST today!

Speaking of having to use your hands to lower yourself onto the, er, porcelain goddess...

Here's one of my FAVORITE leg exercises to do with clients. You can use a kettlebell, medicine ball, dumbbell or just your body weight if you are a beginner!

The one legged deadlift. It works your hamstrings, glutes, hips & low back muscles. Pay attention to your form, because you can easily injure yourself if you do not perform this exercise properly. Like I said, if you are a beginner start practicing the movement without any weights:

Hope everyone has a fantastic Thursday!!! Stay tuned for my DELISH Muesli recipe that I am enjoying as I type....

Question of the day:

What's your favorite veggies to juice together?

Do you have a movie  watch over and over and over...that never gets old??

Juice: Pre-Vitamix, when I had my juicer, it was anything I could mi. Nx with carrots. Now, I really enjoy the spinach, pear, ginger and grape combo...I can pretty much throw anything into the mix ;-)

Movie: (if I had to pick one) since I was a little girl was The Wizard of Oz. Pretty Woman never ceases to fail me either...there are probably a few others too!

Have a FABULOUS Day Lovies!!!

xoxo
